♥Happy Birthday, Harry (and Sevvy)!♥

Laurel made her bed before tiptoeing down the stairs, delighted to be back in their house for the summer. The sun was just peaking over the horizon and Laurel smiled as she gathered all the things she needed to make Daddy a special breakfast for his birthday. Cooking was the same as making potions: ingredients, stirring, and timing.

Carefully breaking eggs into a bowl, Laurel prepared everything she needed. She knew Daddy would love the beautiful green cloak Auntie Minerva helped her pick out, paid for with her own money even.

Her Daddy was her hero and deserved wonderful things.

Sevvy rubbed his eyes as he made his way downstairs. He wasn't sure what woke him up until he saw his sister in the kitchen. Laurel was making breakfast and Sevvy smiled as he watched her break eggs into a bowl. She looked more like their Grandma Lily as she got older and Sevvy was glad she was starting Hogwarts in the fall.

"Are you making pancakes?" Sevvy asked, yawning.

Laurel smiled at him. "Yes, with bacon – a birthday surprise for Daddy."

Sevvy reached for a pan. "I'll start the bacon, extra crispy for Dad."

"My hero," Laurel told him.

Laurel stirred the pancake batter confidently, knowing that Dobby was probably already watching them to make sure they didn't hurt themselves. Sevvy hummed as he worked and Laurel smiled fondly, her brother was truly a blend of the best of her Daddy and Papa, both in looks and temperament.

"Is Kreacher making Dad's birthday cake?" Sevvy asked as Laurel brought the batter to the stove.

"Yes," Laurel grinned, "it's going to be orange and say 'Happy Birthday to our hero!'"

Sevvy pulled a face. "Lulu—"

Laughing, Laurel patted his arm. "Just teasing! Kreacher and Dobby will bake something yummy."

"I'm sure they will, as they adore your father," Severus said dryly as he stepped into the kitchen.

Laurel turned around and wrapped her arms around his waist, leaving behind a dusting of flour as she hugged him. "Papa! We're making pancakes and bacon for Daddy's birthday breakfast!"

"Indeed." Severus looked over their efforts, relieved when a tray with both tea and coffee appeared on the counter. Dobby was his hero. "Everything looks delicious."

His eldest shot him a grin as Laurel hugged him again. "We have to hurry, Papa, before Daddy gets up!"

"Perhaps I should help you, then."

Harry stretched languidly, his body pleasantly sated by Severus' birthday wake-up shag. His nose twitched at the smell of bacon cooking just as the bedroom door creaked open.

"Daddy?" Ash whispered loudly as Harry felt the bed dip. "Are you awake?"

"No," Harry whispered back, opening his arms as his youngest son curled up against his chest. "Go back to sleep."

The bed dipped again and Harry felt Jacien cuddle against his back.

"What are you reading this morning, Jace?" He asked his eight-going-on-thirty-year-old.

"Modern Magical Heroes." Jace slid an arm around him.

Harry groaned.

Jacien buried his face in his dad's back, the book he had been reading tucked against his chest. As he pressed close, Jacien smile when he felt Dad's magic tingle against his skin in greeting. He knew his Papa and Daddy were both powerful wizards, even though his book made them sound like super heroes. They made sure he and his siblings were loved and protected.

Soon Jacien knew that he'd need to tell Papa and Daddy about his ability to feel magic, but he wasn't sure if they'd like it. Lulu said they be proud.

Maybe after Daddy's birthday.

"Daddy?" Ash whispered, head nestled under his dad's chin.

"Yes, love?" Daddy kissed his temple.

"Can we still fly this afternoon, even though it's your birthday?"

"Yes, my little prince," Daddy whispered. "And tomorrow at Sevvy's party, we'll have enough to play Quidditch!"

"Yay!" Ash liked that. "As long as you save Jace and me from Teddy."

"Breakfast!" Papa called up the stairs, "Before the pancakes are gone!"

Ash jumped off the bed and raced Jace to the door. They collided in the doorway, making Ash laugh as he grabbed Jace's hand and together they ran down the stairs.

Sevvy grinned as Papa caught his brothers, kissing them before he sent them to the table. Sevvy turned the fire off under his bacon as Papa levitated plates of pancakes to the table. Warm arms hugged him from behind and Sevvy turned to hug his dad back.

"Happy birthday, Dad!"

Dad smiled at him and Sevvy was delighted to see his head was almost up to his shoulder. He stepped out of the way when he saw Lulu launching herself at Dad, hugging him hard. Sevvy frowned as Laurel held on for extra-long, relaxing when his sister grinned at him.

Severus arched an eyebrow as he watched his daughter's extended hug, knowing it was Laurel's way of checking their health. It was also why she was only allowed to hug close family, anything else would be playing with fire considering her empathic abilities. Harry met his eyes and smiled, ushering everyone to the table, before turning to Severus.

"Just a bit of a headache, love," Harry whispered in his ear as Severus gathered him close for a kiss.

"Hmmm." Severus hated when those he loved were in pain. "You probably need breakfast."

"Pancakes are yummy, Daddy!" Ash told him happily.

Sevvy tossed the Quaffle to Ash as Lulu flew around the rings at the end of the garden. None of them were really playing Quidditch, they were just having fun flying and playing. Dad was showing Jace his special Seeker moves, although Sevvy suspected Jace was analyzing the proper angles of approach. Papa had lit a fire in the firepit, signaling tea time.

"Come on, Jace," Sevvy shouted. "Let's roast marshmallows!"

Dad and Ash followed them down while Papa Levitating a trail of presents from the house. A warm breeze stirred his hair and Sevvy grinned; he loved it here.

Ash sat on one side of Daddy and Jace on the other, helping him unwrap his birthday gifts. He wasn't interested in the gifts, but Ash loved ripping the paper and throwing it into the air for Padfoot to chase. Onyx jumped down from Lulu's lap and batted balls of paper towards the fire.

"This is beautiful, Laurel!" Daddy said as he lifted a green cloak out of the last box and threw it over his shoulders.

"You look handsome, Daddy!" Lulu clapped her hands.

"Yes, he does," Papa purred.

Ash rolled his eyes.

"They're gonna get mushy!" Jace announced.

Jacien smoothed the front of his new dress robes, loving the way the dark purple shimmered in the light. He didn't mind going out to dinner for Daddy's birthday, although he didn't understand why French people waited until almost bedtime to eat.

"Are you ready, my princeling?"

Jacien smiled at his Papa, who looked nice in his dark blue robes. "I think so."

Lulu had on light orange robes, Sevvy's were his favorite green, and Ash had fire red robes. With Daddy in his deep gold robes, they looked like a rainbow and Jacien smothered a giggle at the thought.

Harry rode Severus hard, the wall of windows behind them, overlooking the lights of Paris. Silencing spells kept them from bothering the children at the other end of the suite. Harry loved their tradition of spending his birthday night in Paris.

"Fuck!" Severus groaned as his hands tightened on Harry's hips, thrusting upward.

Harry rocked hard against him, his climax exploding through him as he clenched around Severus' cock, spurting between them. Severus flipped them over, bending Harry almost in half as he pounded into Harry and gasped as he came.

Harry collapsed backward. "Bloody brilliant."

"Happy birthday, my heart."
