Waiting for the Train I really like the emotion that is evident in this piece. Harry's face is especially poignant, drawn a bit differently by the not-so-mystery artist, I can see the utter sadness in his eyes.

Prompt: #77: During the war, Harry and Snape develop a camaraderie of sorts. After the war, Snape is absolved of all crimes and given an Order of Merlin. He quickly becomes popular with the younger male populace. When one particular man is rather persistent, Harry develops a "Green Chest Monster." Some sort of wizard disease brought on by extreme jealousy. Only Snape can help. Can Harry get the help he needs without letting Snape know that he is the cause of the disease?
Summary: It was all Harry ever wanted for Severus to be recognised by the Wizarding world for all he’d done. But when Severus’ newfound popularity leads to a potential love interest, Harry becomes all too familiar with the old adage, “be careful what you wish for.”
~ I think this is my favorite of the fest so far! A wonderful, classic Snarry with thought-to-be-unrequited love and sizzling smexing! A delightful story!

The Reluctant Transformer, NC-17, 16,800 words.
Prompt: #004 - Minerva requests Harry's help to clean out Severus' quarters after he is killed during the final battle. What he discovers is the side of Severus Snape no one had ever seen and Harry finds himself falling in love with a man who was dead...or was he?
Summary: After Harry skips one class too many during Eighth Year, McGonagall makes him put Snape's rooms in order as punishment. As he comes to understand Snape better, Harry realizes that people are far more complex than they seem at first glance. But he is most emphatically not in love with a dead man (that is, until he is).
~Very interesting magical therapy and I love Harry slow change of opinion in regards to Severus.

A Hermitage of TwoPG, 5K words.
Prompt: #30: Tired of all the attention after defeating Voldemort, Harry withdraws to the house on Grimmauld Place. He's changed the wards to keep everyone out but doesn't know Severus built his own 'back door' into the house years ago to use as a disaster escape if he needed. Harry's friends convince Severus to go after him.
Summary: In the months after Voldemort's death, both Severus and Harry have retreated from the Wizarding World at large. This, however, doesn't stop others from visiting.
~ I really enjoyed the tone of this and Severus 'saving' Harry.

An Invitation to a Kidnapping, or a fate worse than Puce., PG-13, 3703 words.
Prompt: AU - Regency era romance a la Georgette Heyer. Harry comes to London for his first season and meets Severus there. Can be magical or not.
Summary: A young man in his first season should be concerned solely with matters of style and not love.
~ This one is just plain fun and delightful!

Prompt: #17: The only work Snape can find after the war is working on a Muggle phone-sex line.
Summary: Harry's tired and hungry, and all he wants to do is order some dinner. This turns out to be a bigger deal than he anticipated.
~ This one is another that is a delightful, feel-good read!

Prompt: Suffering from exhaustion after the Final Battle, Harry ends up in an isolation room in the infirmary, mostly to keep everyone away. Due to limited space, Severus is placed in the same room. What do two old enemies talk about?
Summary: Harry doesn't know when to give up, and Severus teaches an unintentional lesson.
~ A very realistic picture of a post-battle, tired Harry and Severus - really liked the hopeful ending.

( Breathe Forever )

The AVD mini-fest at severus_sighs is a quaint little fest that celebrates Severus' aversion to all things hearts and flowers. While many of the entries to tend towards the angst and heart-break side of our favorite Slytherin, there are gems of light and happy amid the #teamangst entries.

The mods, roozetter and atypicalsnaowman, are such lovely people, that I have two entries in the fest myself. Although, both Attributes and Awkward Arrangements, are locked as there is a bit of smexing involved - just friend the community to read them.

Another fabulous entry, in my opinion, is Keeping Secrets by the talented alisanne which features suspicious!Snape and a determined Harry and leads to a satisfying, lip-locking ending!

Be Mine as I am Yours by torino10154 is another gem that features a lovely jealous!Snape and an ending that took me by surprise! Don't let the warnings bother you...really! :)
